Are forex signals legit? How to judge a provider in 10 minutes

Some forex signals are legit, many are not. A 10-minute check: stop loss on every trade, published losses, no profit guarantees, no broker gates, sample sizes.

Some forex signals are legit. Many are not. You can tell the difference in ten minutes with five simple checks.

The five checks

  1. Stop loss on every trade. Scroll back through the last 20 signals. Each one must show an SL line.
  2. Losses are published. Losing trades are normal. Hiding or deleting them is not.
  3. No profit promises. “Guaranteed”, “100 percent accurate” or “no loss” are red flags. Nobody can promise a trade’s result.
  4. No broker lock-in. You should be free to use any licensed broker, such as one regulated by SCA, CMA, DFSA, FCA or CySEC. If they force you to deposit with theirs, they are likely paid per lot you trade.
  5. Numbers come with a sample size. “92 percent win rate” means nothing alone. Ask: over how many trades, and how big is the average loss?

A channel that shows only green screenshots is not showing results. It is showing marketing.

Why win rate alone is a trap

Two providers. You pull the last 100 signals from each.

Provider AProvider B
Wins / losses55 / 4588 / 12
Average win40 pips15 pips
Average loss20 pips150 pips
Net result+1,300 pips−480 pips

Provider B has the better win rate and the worse account. Big losses eat small wins. Always ask for the average loss.

What to do after you pick one

  • Follow the signals on a demo account for two to four weeks.
  • Record each one yourself: entry, SL, TP, result.
  • Compare your record with the channel’s claims.
  • Only then use real money, and start with the smallest lot.

Red flags to walk away from

  • “No SL, we manage it manually.”
  • Old losing posts have vanished from the history.
  • Pressure to pay today before you can see any results.
  • No reason given on signals, only prices.

Questions, answered plainly.

Are forex signals legit?

Some are: a legit provider puts a stop loss on every trade, publishes its losses, never promises profit and does not tie you to a broker.

What is a good win rate for forex signals?

There is no magic number, because a 50 percent win rate with small losses can beat a 90 percent win rate with huge ones.

Should I pay for signals?

Only after you have followed the free results for a few weeks and checked them on the chart.
