Questions, answered plainly.
What risk percentage should I use?
Most experienced traders risk 1% to 2% of the account per trade. Beginners should stay at 1% or less.
What is the pip value per lot?
On USD pairs like EUR/USD it is 10 dollars per standard lot. On gold most brokers quote 1 dollar per 0.01 move per standard lot; use 10 for a 0.10 point step.
Does the calculator work for gold?
Yes. Enter your stop distance in points and the point value per lot for XAU/USD, and the result is the lot size.
